Climber

One step back, a tenor before,
Tread forward slightly, a little, some more.
Tendon and grip-lock working in stead,
A jangle of keys,
an upturn of head.

Leading forward and end to end,
Pinching and plunging a hollowback bend

One pull down and bend into place,
sit back, lie in, turn about-face.
Gently now, swaying, kick off the wall,
Swinging and earthbound,
in gravity fall.
